Violins and Care

- Wipe the instrument with a dry cloth specially designed for stringed instruments each time after playing.
- Store your violin in a protective case to protect it from changes in temperature and humidity.
- Be cautious with cleaners that contain polish.
- Clean your instrument often with a microfiber cloth or duster.
- Protect your instrument inside the case.
- Loosen the bow hair before storing your bow.
- Be gentle with your pegs: Slightly turn towards you first and then turn to desired pitch gradually ( Away from you if pitch need to be higher) while also carefully tighening the peg. ( Only use pegs if the string is loose or the finetuners can’t be turned anymore
- Be careful changing strings.( or contact a store or your teacher.)
- Start with lighter rosin.
